Accessibility Statement
this marketplace is committed to digital accessibility. We aim to make our storefront usable by the widest possible audience, including people who rely on assistive technology, who experience motion sensitivity, or who benefit from text and reading accommodations. This statement describes the standard we measure ourselves against, the user-controllable accommodations we ship, the limits of those accommodations, and how to reach us if something on the site is not accessible to you.
Our conformance target
We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) WCAG 2.1 Level AA. WCAG 2.1 AA is the level commonly referenced by ADA Title III practice in the United States and by the European Accessibility Act (EAA). It is a target, not a guarantee — accessibility is a continuous practice rather than a one-time certification.
Audit status
The most recent WCAG 2.1 AA audit of buyer-facing storefront surfaces was completed on 2026-05-05. Open findings are tracked in our public remediation backlog.
Accommodations available on this site
Every page of this storefront has a floating accessibility button that opens a panel of user-controllable accommodations. Your selections are saved in your browser and persist across pages on this device. You can clear them at any time using the Reset Settings button in the panel.
- Bigger Text. Increases base font size site-wide.
- Line Height. Loosens line spacing for easier tracking between lines.
- Readable Fonts. Swaps display fonts for a system sans-serif.
- Dyslexic Font. Switches body text to OpenDyslexic.
- Bigger Cursor. Enlarges the mouse cursor for visibility.
- Hide Images. Hides decorative images while preserving layout.
- Tooltips. Mirrors aria-labels and image alt text into native browser tooltips.
- Stop Animations. Disables CSS animations, transitions, and smooth-scroll.
- Bionic Reading. Bolds the leading letters of each word to anchor reading.
Known limitations
The accommodations panel is a UX gesture and a partial accommodation. It does not, on its own, satisfy WCAG. Specific limitations we are aware of:
- Stop Animations disables CSS animations and transitions but does not catch motion driven by JavaScript libraries (such as carousels with scripted scroll). We continue to remove gratuitous JS-driven motion as we find it.
- Bionic Reading rewrites text on the page; some dynamically updated regions (cart totals, live status messages) are intentionally excluded so they continue to update correctly.
- Tenant-authored content — product descriptions, seller-uploaded images, and custom pages are authored by individual sellers and marketplace admins. Their accessibility (alt text, heading structure, reading order) is the author's responsibility; we provide tooling but do not enforce it.
- Operator surfaces — seller dashboards and admin consoles are out of scope for this statement and are not currently audited.
